Lanham appointed to UA’s ACRE Leadership Council

WASHINGTON, D.C. – (RealEstateRama) — Clay Lanham, a partner in the firm’s Real Estate Practice Group who practices from the Mobile office of Jones Walker LLP, has been appointed to the University of Alabama’s ACRE Leadership Council

Lanham assists clients throughout the entire development process with the formation of development entities, initial acquisition of properties, representation before political bodies for rezoning and approvals of projects, acquiring permits, financing, easements, leasing and other general real estate matters common to commercial, residential, and industrial developments. He has represented both institutional lenders and private investors in the negotiation and documentation of commercial loans and other financial transactions, as well as investors in the purchase and sale of commercial properties.

Lanham also represents businesses in the areas of construction, business and commercial law, and civil litigation. He counsels businesses in all aspects of the construction process, including owners and developers, general contractors, sub-contractors, home builders, and material providers. He is a licensed title insurance agent in Alabama and serves as vice president of one of the firm’s title companies, Baronne Title of Alabama LLC. Lanham is an authorized agent for First American Title Insurance Company and Old Republic National Title Insurance Company.

The Alabama Center for Real Estate is housed within the UA’s Culverhouse College of Commerce.
