March 23, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Remodelers from around the state have been honored with the 2009 Alabama Remodeling Excellence Awards (AREA). The awards were presented at the 2009 AREA banquet on Saturday, March 21 at the Marriott Legends at Capitol Hill in Prattville.
The AREA competition is open to all remodelers, kitchen and bath designers, builders, architects, and other remodeling professionals. Projects completed in Alabama between June 30, 2007 and December 31, 2008 were eligible for entry.
The awards salute the best craftsmanship, innovation and attention to detail for remodeling projects throughout the state. This year’s awards were sponsored by Boral Bricks, the Alabama Home Builders Self Insurers Fund, and J.F. Day/Pella.
Awards were presented in twelve categories, with a final Best in Show award given to the project that scored the highest among all project entries. The 2009 AREA Best in Show Award went to Shelton Construction Co. of the Greater Morgan County Home Builders Association for the Holmes Addition.
