The Fort Payne City Council voted Tuesday to rezone about 4 acres of land that could become the site of new apartments or town homes behind Mi Casita. The property is located at the intersection of Alabama Avenue and 38th Street NW. Johnny Croft of Croft Land Surveying owns the land.I don’t have any final plans on utilizing the property, Croft said after requesting the rezoning at the previous council meeting. ⌠My immediate plans are to make the property more attractive, before I would consider initiating any building. I wanted to get the property zoned appropriately. That was the first step.
