February 19, 2009 – (RealEstateRama) — Aronov Homes, a member of the Greater Montgomery Home Builders Association, is partnering with the Emmy award-winning television show Extreme Makeover: Home Edition and a host of subcontractors and volunteers to build a new home in just one week for a deserving Montgomery area family.
“Aronov Homes is honored to have been chosen by ABC’s Extreme Makeover: Home Edition as the builder for their Montgomery project. In addition to our talented team of professionals at Aronov Homes, we are also reaching out to our generous community for their support and encourage everyone to get involved in any way they can to help change one Montgomery family’s life forever,” said Jake Aronov, Chairman & Chief Executive Officer of Aronov Realty Management.
Aronov Homes is the third HBAA builder member to participate in Extreme Makeover: Home Edition. Signature Homes in Birmingham and Heritage Homes in Mobile have also constructed homes for the television show. Construction began on the new home today, and today?s highlights will include ceiling and roof work, rough electrical and plumbing and wall insulation.
The home is being constructed for the Jordan family, who were selected based on their service to their community as well as to their family. Monica and Brady Jordan lost their daughter in 1995 to domestic violence and their son eight years later to a drunk driver. In addition to a daughter who is a student at the University of Alabama, they are also raising three grandchildren. The Jordans volunteer with MADD (Mothers Against Drunk Driving), and routinely open their home to provide a safe haven for neighborhood children who need a place to eat, sleep, socialize, and be mentored to under their roof.
Spectators are encouraged to come out to watch the build and lend support. They are asked to bring canned food items to benefit the Montgomery Area Food Bank. The house is scheduled to be completed and decorated on February 23, when the crowds will shout “Move that bus!” and the Jordan family will see their new home for the first time.
